Ohhhh where to start for this convention. I knew I would be going to PAX months prior due to a League of Legends group I became a part of. I actually didn't start working on my costume until a little less than a month due to financial problems and all around lack of time. By a stroke of God, I managed to get the materials I needed to work on my outfit and worked on it whenever I didn't have work or prior plans.
The outfit was Bloodmoon Akali and I realized as I started painting the designs on the fabric that I knew absolutely nothing about LoL. So, I downloaded the client and started the downward spiral of League gaming. I spent about a week and a half playing to get enough points to buy Akali and my boyfriend was nice enough to get the Bloodmoon skin for me to see what it was like in game. This actually helped me out a lot because I wound up combining her splash art with actual gameplay design to make my final outfit. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to make the weapons the way I wanted to and instead settled for making them out of foam, some light sculpy, and PVC pipe. They both lasted fairly long through a plane ride, bus ride, being carried and tossed around, and wandering a con for two days. I plan on remaking them with better material and actual resin-ing them when I have time.
Thursday:I actually got to the airport to leave for Boston at about 6ish... in the morning. It was my first time actually going through the airport alone so that was kind of an interesting experience for my personally. I have spent a good part of my life traveling and I never once did it alone. Yay for growing up!! I arrived in Boston at about 9 in the morning and made my way [with help from locals and frequent PAX goers] to the Seaport Hotel where I had the longest and most annoying three hour wait ever.

was told that I'd be able to check in early for us and that they needed to hold a credit card but would not charge
anything to it. When I went to check in...... they tried to charge $1450.00. Needless to say my card declined the transaction and I was told I wouldn't be able to check in until she, herself, gave them her card. I was annoyed but decided I'd chill in the lobby and just wait the three hours for her. I fell asleep a few times and I realized the lobby was getting packed with business people so I decided to trek my way around the hotel and it's three floors accessible to the public and saw that the third floor was less crowded. I made myself a little corner to huddle myself in and wait and promptly fell asleep. Fifteen minutes later I'm being awoken by a hotel manager with a thick Boston accent asking if I'm alright XD I explained the situation and he told me he just wanted to make sure I'm okay and I could resume sleeping XD
I check my phone and find out

and her boyfriend ran into some troubles with United Airlines and that they didn't make/weren't allowed to get onto their connecting flight. That meant I had to wait even
longer until they arrived before I could just get into the hotel room and get some real sleep. I decided to give her a call and explain what was happening and she called the hotel, gave them her card info, and I was finally able to check in myself. I got to the 18th floor, dropped my bags by the bed, flopped down and promptly passed out. I barely even recall everyone arriving into the hotel room but by the time I woke up it was around 6ish and we all were famished.
After an interesting drive around Boston looking for a place to eat, we wound up making a huge circle and ate at a Dim Sum restaurant in China Town

. We got back to the hotel and I, again, passed the fuck out.
Friday:The morning started out with me going into a taxi cab for the first time ever OH MY GOD ALL THE EXPERIENCES! I went to a local CVS and grabbed some double sided mounting tape and super glue. It's amazing how expensive cab rides can get with traffic XD
Debut of Akali!! HOLY CRAP BOSTON IS THE DRIEST PLACE EVER AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! This was the first time I wore Akali all together and.... it was definitely a trial and error. I had never worn a high ponytail + extension wig before so I spent most of the day struggling to keep the darn thing from slipping off my head. The amount of dry air in Boston was proving a difficult obstacle for me because my contacts were constantly drying to my eyeball and making it extremely uncomfortable for me. In honesty, it was worse inside buildings than it was outside. Outside I at least had wind changing up the temperature. The biggest dilemma I had the entire day was that my weapons decided they'd start breaking. However, super glue solves everything.
After wandering the exhibit hall for a bit, I met up with some friends hanging out by the Riot! booth/area and got some swwaaagggg. I decided to sign up for a cosplay fashion show for League characters and do a free spin [I won a water bottle and two skins]. The fashion show was actually hilarious and a lot of fun. There were 40 something of us and we all were pretty good natured. There was an
amazing Orianna cosplay that we all just went "Oh shit. We lost. Game over." and foamed over. She was just brilliant and the costume was holyfuckingshitIcreamedmyself. THAT GOOD. The few people I was in line with decided we'd all do a little dance when we got up to the stage just because it's really all for fun. So when I got up I did my typical Akali pose, stopped, and began to pelvic thrust to the audience. Crotch flap makes everything better.
After I went to the main floor and hung out with

as a friend and I played with our new Magic the Gathering cards we got in our PAX swag bag. After a bit of waiting,

came up and we all frolicked off to do a photoshoot of her, naturally, gorgeous Fem!Hawke. It was a lot of fun taking with Sheila, she's amazing and really down to earth which is something I love finding out about cosplayers I really respect. If you've never heard of Sheila, Sylar, or Aicosu in general...... what? GO LOOK. JAYZUZ. ANYhoo- we had some lulz, she bitchslapped and choked me, I probably made inappropriate comments, but then I went my separate ways because I was freezing my little ninja butt off.
I then watch four hours of Say Yes to the Dress and slept the rest of the night instead of going to a concert because I'm lame.
Saturday:Today was my last day at PAX and I spent it pretty much wandering around with

. We started the morning going to a Starbucks which was closed because Bostoners are stupid [lawl] and luckily found an open Starbucks inside of the Renaissance Hotel. SAVIOR~! We then went to the convention center to meet up with Pixel Kitty Cosplay for her awesome Anya costume from Gears of War 3 and commenced a photoshoot. Afterward we headed back to the hotel were I donned my Akali once more and put on my body properly. I repositioned the wig for no sliding, tightened up some areas, and used a shit ton of safety pins. The only problem I really had with the costume that day was my back piece kept falling off for some reason D:
I pretty much wore the costume for half the day just so I could get a photoshoot with

since I was far too cold to do it the day prior. We had some nice outdoor and indoor shoots and I'm sure when I remake some things I'll have even better shoots in the future :]
I THEN SLEPT FOR A HELLA LONG TIME. This was seriously Sleep!Con for me D: I missed out going to an awesome club where the Rooster Teeth people had a baller concert and draaaaaaaanks. I then snuck out of the hotel [not really, I said bye] and the journey for a cab at five in the morning began. It's pure luck I ran into a cabbie..... SO EXPENSIVE THAT LATE/EARLY. AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Then I got home at about 8am and slept until 4

OHHHHHHH COOONNNN FUUUUNNKKKKKK~
